Wales Business Insider Property Awards
On the 19th April this year iCreate was extremely proud to sponsor an award at the Wales Business Insider Property Awards at City Hall in Cardiff. The award, for Retail Agent of the Year, was won by EJ Hales for the second year running, and we congratulate them on this great success. On the evening we were joined by some major players in the Welsh property sector, including our very own Jonathan Givelin from London and Oriental Homes, as well as Scott Gibbs from Liberty, Susan Young from Westmark and Mike Bruce from Atisreal. We'd like to thank the team at the Insider for making the event possible, and we look forward to next year's event.
The Welsh Assembly Government joins the iCreate Client List
iCreate was contracted by the Welsh Assembly Government to produce a set of static images for the press launch of the Bluestone Holiday Village in Pembrokeshire. The graphics were commissioned and completed within just a week of the launch date and were distributed with the press release, appearing on national TV news bulletins and across the printed media.
Riding High – MD Dawn Lyle is listed among the Rising Stars of Welsh Business
In August Dawn was featured in the Wales Business Insider's listing of the top 25 'rising stars' of Welsh business. “Individuals have been selected either because they have already been successful in business, or because they demonstrate the entrepreneurial and innovative attributes that indicate that they one day might be,” explains Wyn Jones, editor of the Wales Business Insider.
Breaking News
iCreate has recently been included in the Western Mail's annual 'Hot 100' listing - a definitive guide to the top 100 start-up businesses in Wales. To be eligible, businesses must have been founded after 2001, have a turnover of more than £100k, and the founders must still play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business. Following this, First Minister for Wales, Rhodri Morgan, and Andrew Davies, Minister for the Department of Enterprise, Innovation and Networks, visited iCreate to find out about the company's growth and development - a high profile visit that recognises the success of the company over recent months.
And then, to her delight, managing director Dawn Lyle has been invited to sit on the board of Swansea Futures, an organisation established by the Welsh Assembly Government and Swansea City Council to promote Swansea throughout the UK and Europe. Swansea Futures is charged with encouraging people to visit, invest and live in Swansea, and aims to highlight the superior quality of life and opportunities for business and personal development that exist within the city. Entering the realms of historical reconstruction with the National Trust
iCreate has recently completed a contract for the National Trust, re-creating a historic tin plate factory for use in an installation exhibit at Aberdulais Falls. Working with Welsh production company Media for Heritage, in consultation with the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, iCreate has produced an animated flythrough of the tin plate works to show visitors what the site would have looked like originally – another powerful application of 3D visualisation technology.
Dawn Lyle, Swansea Bay Woman of The Year
Dawn Lyle, Managing Director and co-founder of iCreate, has won an award at the Swansea Bay Woman of the Year Awards 2005, in the category of Young Entrepreneur Achievement. This Award for the under 30s was created to recognise the achievements of young women who have successfully shown initiative in their desire to start their own business. Dawn is delighted to have received the award, which recognises the achievements of iCreate over recent years.
